Cat and Kitten Adoption

You can look at some of the cats and kittens we have available for adoption here.

We recommend that all the members of your household who will be living with the cat or kitten you adopt come and meet it and are part of the adoption process.

When you come to adopt a cat or kitten from us, one of our staff will have a chat with you about the sort of cat you're looking for and what your lifestyle's like - this will help them to introduce you to the cats that are best suited to you. They will also give you information about the cat's personality and the type of home best suited to it. If you find a cat or kitten that you would like to adopt you will need to complete an adoption application form. If you are renting your property you will need to bring written consent from your landlord to show that you have permission to have a cat at the property.

Once your application has been processed, a staff member will give you advice on how to settle your cat into your home and take you to the retail area to buy the food, litter, worm and flea treatments, toys, bowls etc you will need.   Our cats and kittens are fed  premium quality food.  We recommend you continue to feed this to your new pet which is available for purchase at the SPCA.  To be able to take your cat or kitten home with you, you must have a secure cat carrier. You may bring one of your own or you can purchase one from our retail shop at the time of adoption.

Our current adoption fees for cats and kittens are:

$170 for kittens under 6 months old
$140 for teenage cats 6 months to 1 year old

$120 for cats 1 year and over

Our adoption fees include the cost of desexing, microchipping, 1st vaccination and worm and flea treatment.

Please note that at times, our adoption prices may vary to above.
